[Music Playing] Melanie Raposo: Hi everybody! I'm Melanie Raposo and welcome to Mommy's Minute. Condoms are one of the oldest forms in birth control, over 3000 years in fact and are the only form of male birth control available. Condoms are popular because they are convenient to get and easy to use. To use a condom, place the tip of the condom on top of the tip of the erect penis, then pinch the top to ensure no air gets in and then roll the condom until it reaches the base of the penis. The condom is the only effective form of protection against STDs, it can also help protect against pregnancy. However, condoms are not a 100% effective against pregnancy, so it's best to use it in combination with another form of birth control.
