[Music Playing] Melanie Raposo: Hi everybody! I'm Melanie Raposo, welcome to Mommy's Minute. Spermicide can increase your protection against pregnancy, it can come as a cream, jelly, or suppository. To use a Spermicide, a woman inserts it into her vagina just before sex. Because it dissolves, it's important not to insert it too long before sex. Spermicide works to mobilize sperm and on its own it's only 71-85% effective, Using it with a condom or other form of birth control will improve its effectiveness.
