Hi, everybody! I am Melanie Raposo, and welcome to Mommy's Minute. To prevent gum disease during pregnancy, all pregnant women should get at least two thorough dental exams during pregnancy. Maintaining good oral hygiene at home is also very important. Here is some tips. First, brush twice a day for at least 5 minutes. Floss once a day and use antibacterial mouthwash to get rid of plaque. It is also good idea to avoid large amounts of refined sugar. This will cut down on target build up.
