Pregnancy Itching Video

Learn why itching is common during pregnancy
Read the full transcript »

Hi, everybody! I am Melanie Raposo, welcome to Mommy's Minute. Mild itching during pregnancy is common because of the increased blood supply to your skin. This can also lead to sweat rashes. To relieve itching, keep some calamine lotion in the fridge and dab it on the itchy area and avoid wearing tight clothing. Some women also get a pregnancy rash on their stomach. Ask your doctor or midwife about what you can take to ease itching. If the itching does become severe, see your doctor immediately. For more information visit www.ThePregnancyShow.com.
