Cynthia Sass: Hi! I’m Cynthia Sass, Preventions Grocery Guru. Now if you can’t cook your chicken from scratch the next best option would be precooked product. Nutritionally speaking there free good, they have some frozen some cans on the positive side all you have to do to prepare a healthy meal in minutes in open the package and eat it. You can add this precooked chicken to a healthy salad, a wrapped or pushy dish and you’re done. Now, unfortunately they can be a little higher in fat and calories and a little bit higher in sodium’s, we have to watch out for that. But there are a lot better than the other options out there that are breaded and have a lot more ingredients. Let’s have over to the frozen section to check out what’s over there. In the frozen section you will find the few healthy chicken options as well including raw or precooked frozen chicken breast. They are usually a little bit less expensive than the fresh chicken options and they are incredibly healthy. Just remember follow them in the microwave or the refrigerator not at room temperature.
