Kimberly: Welcome to the Pilates on fifth video Podcast, I am Kimberly. Katherine: And I am Katherine. Kimberly: Today’s exercise is push up with arm lifts, now we have done the plank with leg lifts, this could be called plank with arm lifts too. What we found is we’ve gone to really hard exercises, we never just done in the arms, so a kind of back tracking with the little bit of an easy one, but its good to work on techniques sometimes, so lets get in to our first position, and really pull your abs in here, hands are right under the shoulders and from here walk your knees back just a little bit and flex the feet. And then more exhale and straighten the legs, and press up in to push up positions. So here you want to make sure you are not too low and not too high, which is perfect. Inhale to prepare on the exhale she is just going to reach her right arm forward but have too much of shift, inhale back down. Yes. And exhale reaches her left arm forward. Yes, and inhale back down. Now you’ll see there is a shift that happens which is of course obvious, but if you think about trying not to shift that’s where the work comes in and the abs, is it we think okay I am not going to show any signs of shifting my weight that’s where all the work comes in . But this will prepare you for the number watchdog, which you have already done and the difficult challenge test which we did which is you know on your elbows, so this is a nice one to do. You are exhaling every time and that is enough, and will bend the knees to come down, and that is plank with arm lifts.
