The greengirls.com Female: Alright here we are at Full Moon. March 28 and it happens to be my birthday but we are going to officially plant something here in the Full Moon to start our Urban Garden Project. What are we planting Lindsey? Lindsey: We’re planting kale, cucumbers and peppers. Female: And the kids are thrilled to be planting. You see that look of enthusiasm on their faces. Male: You go to the store and you get the ones that say organic, but you really don’t know right? Female: Yeah. Male: I mean it can be GMO, it could be— Female: Right here we’re using rich soil. I want to build a tree house. So we were thinking—Laika what are you doing all the way up there? Laika: I'm not planting. Female: Can you see her? She says she’s not planting. Laika wave so people can see how ridiculous you are and how high you are on the tree. Wave again! You see that movement that’s my daughter. Laika time to get down. Here we are in the pre-garden. Look at it, we’re going to transform it. It’s going to be a luscious, green permadise back here. So look at the before and we’re going to show you the after. Before this is March 2010 just right after the clean up, nothing green around, we’re going to make this place bloom this summer and we’re going to transform Hartford through our hard work and our love and our energy and our life. Here we are I get to plant kale. We are starting our seed ritual. We’re doing the inside planting and then we’re going to take it out to the fire. Alright Lindsey what are we doing? Lindsey: Alright, so we’re just going to take a packet and just go whatever vegetable and you take it under our tongue and just really go with the intention and you're feeling energy transfer from you to the seeds and you're going to do that for a little while. Male: This goes like this right? Male: I wonder if our saliva will start to digest these suckers? Female: What are you planting Courtney? Courtney: Zucchini. Female: Oh you're doing zucchini too.
