Amanda Junker: In the past 30 years dinner plates are grown 25% to 12 inches or more in diameter. So it’s no wonder that were eating more, use the plate about 2 inches slower and you will serve yourself 22% a fewer calories per meal. Which can be a two pound weight loss over the course of the month, if you don’t want to get your dish wear try using your salad plate to whole calories pastas and meats and then use your dinner for lower calorie vegetables, if you plan on buying new plates the best size is 10 inches in diameter any smaller and you’ll go back for seconds.
