Audra Lowe: Okay how many times you’ve been taking a pledge to loss weight but as soon as you put in the ring with ice cream or the French fries is game over. Janice Taylor is here and she’s the author of Our Lady of Weight Loss also she’s the author of All is Forgiven Move On and she’s here to day to train coach and prepare everybody for there next fight. Welcome to the show Janice, thanks to be here. Janice Taylor: Thank you. Audra Lowe: So how do you go from Janice Taylor to lady of weight loss, you have story behind all. Janice Taylor: Well I’m not a lady of weight loss, our lady of weight loss found me at the weight loss meeting and spoke to me in my deepest darkest hour. Audra Lowe: Really, really? Janice Taylor: So did you have a situation where you had to loss extra amount of a pounds? Audra Lowe: I will, I’ve been fat in my entire life the only baby in the hospital nursery that gain weight, 8 years old was 112 lbs and then just one day I walk up really fat and I just rolled out of bed and said this is it I have to do something. But it wasn’t a happy day, I didn’t get up and say I’m fat that it is. Janice Taylor: Right, but you’re helping other people right now with your book and I was looking to the both of them. And this is the most detailed weight loss books that I’ve ever see them in my life. I mean there is a lot of information in there too. And one of the tips that you give is about the scale, what is this scale really measure and most people would say Janice it’s pretty obvious the pounds right. Audra Lowe: Well people it ranges city as fast. They can crazy when the city as fast, they can crazy when the scale actually it’s about gravitational pull it measures the force of attraction between you and planet earth so there is nothing to be upset about, the earth loves you. You should actually your singing the people should really look at it and not just get down on themselves when they get on the scale. Janice Taylor: Yes, I think that you know of really want to lighting out and bring a sense of humor to it in a different prospective and say its really not that bad it’s kind a fight to loss weight and walk this new path. Audra Lowe: Right, also being coming to your own food journalist, a food photo journalist of what you say. Taking pictures of things that you eat, how is that help? Janice Taylor: Well you know writing down and journaling is you know statistic show that if you keep track of what you’re eating you do loose weight a lot faster. But you get tired of writing it down so just for fun the key weren’t here just for fun I said let me take pictures of everything I eat. Well if that was fun and I call myself a photo food journalist but what it does is create a pause and it gives you a moment to decide, do you really want that platter of donut? Audra Lowe: you also have some rules too; do doing this, doing this, no doing that. Which one of the first one? Janice Taylor: Well no sit no eat. Audra Lowe: So other words you’re not supposed to be standing up while you’re eating. Janice Taylor: Well you know in the cooking and you’re cooking and your standing and no sit no eat I’m walking on the street no sit no eat. Audra Lowe: And you say you should shut the kitchen down at the certain time at night right? Janice Taylor: 8.23 pm. Audra Lowe: So what’s in 8:23? Janice Taylor: It’s a good time, I like the number it give range to it. Audra Lowe: And what about the no foods zone, a certain areas in house you should eating? Janice Taylor: Absolutely. Audra Lowe: Why, why? Janice Taylor: Because when you going to the bedroom no food zone and then you aren’t use— your brain catches up with that and stops thinking about food. Audra Lowe: Before we go I have to ask you about this because when you go to a restaurant you say you should order off the menu if you don’t see it on the menu asks them to prepare the certain way and then mention that you don’t want butter three times.
