Hi, I am Marilyn Bohn, Get It Together Organizing. I am glad you join me today. We are going to go on a little fieldtrip to a bathroom and I am going to show you how to organize a medicine cabinet. This is a three-door medicine cabinet. It has been organized in a very orderly way, however, maybe not the traditional way. It is organized according to the needs of the household. On this side, on the left hand cupboard, this is where the lady of the house has her things and they are what is the most convenient to her. On the top are the things that she does not use as often and on the other two shelves are the things that she uses everyday. Now, you will notice there are medicines in this cabinet. Medicines are not best kept in the bathroom because of the humidity but this woman chooses to do so, so that is her prerogative. Here is the center part of the cabinet and it has a mixture both for man and woman that live here and that works very well because that is what is convenient for them. And then, over here is the man’s side and he has again, what is convenient for him, and then a few things for the little one on the top shelf. So things do not have to be organized according to height, according to type, that is another way of doing it but they could also be organized according to convenience. No matter how you choose to organize your medicine cabinet, as long as things are convenient for you, easy reach and contained that they have a place to live, then it is just fine. You can do it that way. There is not going to be any medicine cabinet in a place come along and say, no you have to have everything lined up just perfect.
