Sarah: Welcome to the calorie minute. I am Sarah, your host and once again I am joined by Stephen Cabral, Body Transformation Expert. Once again, Oprah's weight has been in the news. She said, she is back up to 200 pounds. So what's going on with Oprah? Stephen Cabral: Well, recently she just said, she's been doing a lot of single-joint exercises. So single-joint exercise is basically just using one joint, like a lateral raise of to the side or a bicep curl that a lot of people are familiar with. But in order to really burn the most fat possible and really boost your metabolism, you need to work more muscle fiber. So to work more muscle fiber, we do exercises that really involve more than one joint. Because if more than one joint is working, more muscle is working as well. So today, I want to show you an exercise called a lateral raise. So Oprah might be doing exercise like just for the knees, slightly bend, letting your arms up to the side. So what she is doing here is that she is straightening her deltoids. So the side of her shoulder, she is coming right back up. So now what you could do to get much more and then we are talking at least 2-3 times the results out of it is squat down with the weight by your sides, you're going to a dumbbell deadlift or a dumbbell squat. Come back up and raise the weights out right to the side, good. You're lifting with your elbow, you pretend like you're pouring that weight out. It's right down, come back up, perfect. So another thing you want to think about is when you're doing these exercises, like you know, just break up your days like Oprah is doing right now, shoulders one day, back one day, because we want to involve all the muscle in your body with each workout. If you don't take everything to fill your each time, you can get to work that out at least 2, 3 days a row, take a day off, repeat that process. We get much better results that way. Sarah: Some of you at home are probably wondering are we showing exactly Oprah's workout, but my theory is that if Oprah did have the keys to the way of success, she wouldn't be work she is now today. So that's why Stephen and I today have modified what she is doing to better suit everybody out there, you guys and your needs. So hopefully you've enjoyed this video and now you know that by incorporating your legs with the arms, you are raising your metabolism, not raising, building more muscle, which raises your metabolism and, obviously, you feel a lot better.
