Dr. Ann: Have you had your beans today? I have and if you haven’t you don’t know what you’re missing. I consider beans the most under utilize economical, super food. They are great for your health and they are especially good for your body way because they have so much protein and so much fiber. They fill you up without filling you out. Not only that they have amazing health benefits. They will lower your cholesterol. They will protect your heart. They can decrease your risk of several cancers. They can have stabilized blood glucose and insulin levels and those that are diabetic and pre-diabetic. They’re cheap, they convenient, they’re versatile, they’re delicious and fresh frozen dried, being as dips, beans in your soups, beans in Puritos, beans as a side dish, any way you want them just eat more beans.
