Non-Surgical Blepharoplasty Dr. Travis Stork: Brooke is in our procedure room right now with cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Alex Rivkin. Welcome to you both. Dr. Alex Rivkin: Thanks Travis. Dr. Travis Stork: So, Dr. Rivkin, what’s going on back there right now with Brooke? Dr. Alex Rivkin: So, what we’re doing is a procedure I call non-surgical blepharoplasty. It’s injection of hyaluronic acid, it’s a real precise points underneath the eye and refilling that volume, really reinvigorating that whole area. It takes about five minutes to do. It’s painless and you can do it in the clinic without bruising. Dr. Travis Stork: All right, we’re going to let you keep working back there. We’ll reveal Brooke’s results later in the show. Earlier in the show, Dr. Rivkin performed a live non-surgical procedure on Brooke’s lower eye area. Brooke complained of dark circles and indentations under eyes. She didn’t like what she saw in the mirror, hated being asked if she was always tired. Well, it’s time to see the results. Let’s see Brooke one time more before the procedure and Brook is here, let’s see her after. Very nice! Looking good! Dr. Andrew Ordon: Brooke is a young woman and she had that typical deformity that we see the so-called tear trough or nasojugal fold. Dr. Alex Rivkin: Yeah. Dr. Andrew Ordon: In the old days, we would have gone in and try to remove something and that would have been the wrong thing to do. What we needed to do is add back, right? Dr. Alex Rivkin: Yeah. Its volume and what we’re not realizing now is volume is youth and you replenish that volume, and when you that, you create this youthful natural appearance that’s really nice that we can see. Dr. Andrew Ordon: And what happen as we age, this part of our face falls and create that trough. It looks like you have a bag above and a bag below. So, instead of trying to remove them, you fill in between. Dr. Alex Rivkin: Yup. You fill in between and it’s just as time goes on, gravity always takes over. Dr. Andrew Ordon: And this was hyaluronic acid. Dr. Alex Rivkin: This was hyaluronic acid. It took about five minutes to do, no bruising really. It’s relatively an easy procedure and was it terribly painful? Brooke: No, not at all. Dr. Andrew Ordon: So, it’s a natural filler and it actually acts a matrix, as a framework of more collagen and elastin that can be formed. How long is it going to last? Dr. Alex Rivkin: Well for her, it should last about a year and a half. I’ve seen some people after two years come in and they still have some of the effects, it’s still there and I think that’s because of that collagen growth that really stimulates that area to regenerate collagen and reform. Dr. Travis Stork: And Brooke, judging from you’re smile, you’re pretty happy? Brooke: Yes. I see the result already and I’m so excited. Dr. Andrew Ordon: You look a lot younger than before. Dr. Travis Stork: You look great. Thanks for coming on.
