There are a lot of things that women can do beyond simply taking their medications or viewing their entire diet and paying attention to say carbohydrates. I’d like to talk to women about food as medicine and there’s some foods that we know have impacts on blood sugar. Food such as cinnamon, food such as fatty fish, cold-water fish, we have food from some ethnic traditions such as prickly pear cactus that we know lower blood sugar so, there’s a lot of different ways that we can use food as a medicine to help improve blood sugar levels.
