My Symptoms of Menopause - Sue's Story Right now, I don’t really have much in the way of hot flashes as much as I do the night sweats. I pretty much get those almost every night, and you wake up and you are drenched. Your hair’s wet -- your pillow is wet, your bed is wet, you are sweating all over and it’s very uncomfortable and usually it wakes me up two or three times during the night. Where I’ve literally, I have a king size bed and I literally have to keep moving over and over and over to find dry patches to be able to be comfortable enough to go back to sleep. So, I do use a, I think it’s an estradiol cream that supposedly helps and actually I tried to go off of it once and it didn’t change anything in terms of sweats. I didn’t get hot flashes, but what I did notice was the aches and pains that used to be associated with fibromyalgia, just mild, but enough that I started noticing and I was taking Tylenol two or three times a day where I hadn’t been before. So, I think that that helps, the hormone replacement that I do take now, definitely helps with the aches and the pains.
