My Recovery from LASIK Corrective Eye Surgery - Catherine's Story The recovery from the surgery was very quick. I knew right away coming out of the surgery that I was just amazed. I could see everything that I wasn’t able to see before, and I took a pain pill because it’s given to you and I took a sleeping pill and I woke up essentially the next morning. And you can go to work the next day from what I understand. I chose to take the day off just in case and I enjoyed looking and seeing things far away that I had not seen before without binoculars or a telescope. So, I would highly recommend it. It’s one of the most paramount things that I have ever done to improve something on my own.
