My Cataracts and other Eye Problems - Jeanette's Story Well right now they are just at the forming stage and she said that it probably will be a while before I would have to have them removed, so she just said to, you know, watch my exposure to the ultraviolet light and from the sun by wearing sunglasses whenever I am outside. So that’s at this point because they are just tiny little cataracts. There’s another problem that Dr. Gong found out is that I could have possibly the beginning of glaucoma so I do use Travatan eye drops daily before I go to sleep. It’s very important that you try to catch it early. I can tell you from experience, my mother-in-law who is 95, she lost her eyesight to glaucoma and so she has been blind for about over ten years and she really misses not been able to see the grandchildren really close. And so I would tell that the lady to get to the doctor and start those eye drops, anything so that you will not lose your vision from glaucoma.
