My C-Section Experience - Catrina's Story My c-section was nerve-wrecking. It was my third c-section, so you would think, you know, that it would be psychologically okay, everything old hat, I have been there, done that, but anytime you go into a situation where you know your child might come out with some complications or even a small little difficulty, it was a little nerve-wrecking for us, especially for my husband. He kinds of felt a little helpless like “What do I do here?” But we’ve always kind of had a little rule that he goes with the baby; I’ll be just fine and so he did. He went with Tanner right away and he stayed with Tanner and I recovered fairly quickly I think. Unfortunately, I think my parents and my husband wanted me to stay in the hospital and recover longer because they wanted Tanner to have the opportunity to get all the care he needed without the emotion involved and so we were kind of taking care of that way, but I think it was really the right choice.
