Hello, I'm Michael Shahani. I'm Director of Operations for Nebraska Cultures. Nebraska Cultures was founded in 1981 by Dr. Khem Shahani, who was a professor at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. And since 1981, Nebraska Cultures has been producing high quality probiotic food supplements, primarily the DDS-1 strain of L. acidophilus. Dr. Shahani did research for over 40 years at the University of Nebraska, and he passed away in 1991. The families continues to run the business. The President of the company is Leona Shahani. I'm Director of Operations. Robin Shahani is our media director. Our Senior Scientific Officer is now Dr. Robert Hutchins at the University of Nebraska, a colleague of Dr. Shahani, and Dr. Hutchins holds the Khem Shahani Chair in Food Sciences Technology at the University of Nebraska. I've been Director of Operations since 1996, and Nebraska Cultures distributes probiotic food supplement, raw materials, both nationally and internationally.
