Diabetic people should make the changes as soon as the diagnosis of Diabetes Type II is made. The most important one is regular exercises, and the exercise doesn’t mean anything very complicated. Just walking at a regular pace, 30 to 45 minutes a day, at least 6 days a week, is the best way to improve diabetes control and to prevent the development of diabetes in people that are susceptible to the disease. The other very important factor to consider is changing their lifestyle with diet. Patient should eat less, avoid fat, avoid cholesterol and try to lose weight. Losing 10 to 15 pounds of weight is enough to improve the action of insulin on the peripheral tissues.
