Are all STIs treatable? Daphne Joseph: The ones that are caused by the bacteria we talked about, you can treat them, they are gone. The ones we talked about as far as herpes, you can treat them to make the symptoms not as difficult but they don't ever go away. I think herpes is the only one I can think right of the top of genital warts, those two don't ever go away but we can give you treatments to make you more comfortable. As far as the other ones, they are very treatable and syphilis and gonorrhea are some of the older STIs or STDs, antibiotic treat those and once you are cured, as far as the gonorrhea goes, unless you have re-exposure, it's taking care of. Same way for syphilis, we can make that go away into where it's not creating the problem anymore. So I would urge anybody with vaginal discharge, burning when they urinate, pain with intercourse, those type of people, if you notice anything it's different, go and find out what the source of the infection is and get treatment.
