Previously on Get Exercised. Dina Prioste: Have I mentioned how I much I love yoga. Warrior 2 is a great leg and booty firmer. Imagine a long line from your right foot all the way up through the right hand. Gate Pose, Rock On! Hi, I am Dina Prioste and welcome to Get Exercised. Don't look at me today. I am sick, getting a real cold. We are going to be taking the booty firming and the hip opening from a Warrior 2 pose and the side stretching from Gate pose and combining them to an Extended Side Angle. Make sure that you are already pre-warmed up before coming into this exercise, starting with sun salutes, any other kind of exercise I warmed up because I don't want to pull up mine and also, make sure you have a thick book or a yoga block handy. We are going to be begin with the basic Side Angle pose starting in Warrior 2. From here, you will reach forward and take the right elbow on to the right thigh, keeping the legs from Warrior 2 legs and now sweep the left arm over the left ear so we are really going for a long line all the way from the left heel all the way up through the left finger tip here opening up. Make sure not to cave in, really keep your core straight, active and your spine long as you do this. Let's see if we can go a little further and bring the hand to the block. So in your Warrior 2, deep inhales, you exhale reach forward, pretend your block is already there. Take the block inside the right heel and bring your hand down if your hips has the flexibility, you can do this here. And now again, sweep the left arm over to you in a deeper pose. Keep that action long line, left heel all the way up through the left finger tip. Just to take it to a little deeper stretch, look up under that left arm. If you are on the flexible side, you can go ahead and get rid of the block, take the hand or the finger tips down to the floor. I am not smelling my armpit, I swear, I can't smell anything right now actually. Extended Side Angle pose tones your hips, thighs, and booty and it also is a great stretch for your hips and inner thigh and entire side body. This is just an awesome, awesome pose.
