Hi! My name is Steve Chapman with Elite Pressure Cleaning and washmydeck.com. Today, we are going to be covering how to pressure wash the exterior of your home. There are several steps that we need to do to make sure it's an effective pressure washing. First, we are going to be covering up all the materials and the plants around the house and rinsing the house. Next, we are going to be scrubbing the house with a soft bristle brush. Now last step is rinsing the house again to make sure all the debris and materials is away from the house. Some of the materials you will need to complete this project are a garden hose, tarp for covering up plants and flowers, the pressure washing wand with a white tip for rinsing things down, your house washing tip that we'll use to spray your higher areas, spray and surge at the higher areas, the black tip, which is used for rinsing the house junk, a pressure washer. You will also need a pressure washing hose, high pressure hose, you need a bleaching material for spraying down the house, and also a degreasing material for scrubbing the gutters. The last thing that you will need is an extension brush for scrubbing higher areas in a gutter. Some safety tips to keep in mind are some protective eye wear, some sturdy boots for walking so you don't slip and also some clothes that you don't mind destroying with bleach, or some water resistant materials. We take extra measures and pride ourselves on being a greener company. Some of the things that we do include using a brightener before we pressure wash the deck. What that does is it allows us to use less water which is good for the environment. It also allows us to use less pressure which is good for the wood. Another thing that we do is we use lower VOC materials for sealing and staining. VOC stands for Volatile Organic Compounds, and that is the compounds that go into the atmosphere and cause holes in the ozone layer. Finally, we choose vehicles that have low gas mileage. So we protect the environment that way. So let's get started.
