Hi! I'm Stephanie Kraft, I'm a Reiki Master Teacher. I have a healing arts and hypnotherapy therapy practice in Burke, Virginia. I'm showing you how to do Reiki. In this video, I will be talking about, what Reiki is, what a Reiki session is like, what is involved in learning Reiki and the spiritual path that one takes, when they decide to learn Reiki. First, I' m going to describe the origin of Reiki. The word Reiki is Japanese. Rei, means Spirit and ki, means Energy. So the word Reiki means spiritually guided energy. A Reiki practitioner drives in universal life force, which is the energy that exist in all things. She drives it through the top of her head or her crown chakra, through her body and out her hands. Reiki can help heal on many levels, the soul level, the mental and emotional level as well as the physical level. Reiki can help with a number of issues, from major diseases like cancer, AIDS, MS, Fibromyalgia as well as less sever issues. It can help clear toxins from the body, balance the energy in the body, reduce pain, strengthen the immune system and it can be deeply relaxing and help with stress reduction. Reiki is very easy to do and anyone can do it. All you need to do Reiki, is your hands. Reiki has become very popular in hospitals due to the fact, that the patient or client can remain fully clothed and seated either in a chair, lying in abed or on a massage table. Reiki is vvery useful for cancer patients, as well as before and after surgery. So before we get started, let me tell you a little bit more about myself. I've a Master's of Science in Health Promotion Management. I became a Reiki practitioner in 2001 and I'm also a certified Hypnotherapist, Life Between Lives Hypnotherapist and Hypnobirthing Childbirth Educator. Next I'm going to talk about, how Reiki was brought back into the world.
