Hello! My name is Cathy Green, and I am the owner of UpperCrust Maids. Today, we are talking about how to professionally clean a home, and in this particular segment, we are going to concentrate on how to clean a floor. Cleaning a floor is actually a very easy process as long as you have the right equipment, the right products. The type of equipment that you use for a floor will depend on the size of the floor and the type of floor. So for example if you have a huge floor space and that huge floor space is very, very dirty, I would recommend that you actually use a commercial bucket, as well as a commercial mop. If you have let's say a muddy porch, again I will recommend either commercial bucket and mop or an old fashioned string mop and bucket. Now most people will notice that when you go to the hardware stores, grocery stores, any place where you can buy a mop, you'll notice a lot of fancy mops are now on the market. You can find a microfiber mop, you can find flat cotton mops, all types of mops are out there and they are great. I would recommend if you are cleaning just a general area, regular everyday floor, tiny bit of dirt build up, I would actually recommend using what we call a flat mop. Unlike a string mop, a flat mop is never immersed in water. Instead what you want to do is you want to use a spray bottle, and you can use whatever solution in that spray bottle that you would like. You can use what the manufacturer recommends, or old fashioned vinegar water. So let's say that you have just a general tile floor or general Linoleum floor. You can take a spray bottle, spray that water on to the floor, take your cotton mop and just mop the floor. And you continue to repeat the process until you are finished. And coming up in our next segment, we are going to talk about how to clean a microwave oven.
