Female Speaker: When a cannon ball is fired from a cannon, the force that propels the cannon ball called the action force has an equal and opposite reaction force. The reaction force pushes the cannon backward, even though the reaction force is the same size as the original action force, the cannon moves backwards much more slowly then the cannon balls move forward. This is because the cannon have a much greater mass than the cannon ball.
