Female Speaker: Mountain climbing the primary muscle groups involved in mountain climbing are the hip, hamstring, quadriceps, Gluteus Maximus and calve. The support muscles used are the anterior and posterior deltoids, biceps, upper and lower abdominals, and triceps. The ancillary muscle groups used are the trapezius, pectorals, anterior uveitis, forearm and the latissimus dorsi.
