Ask Dan & Jennifer Sex, Love & Dating Advice And please rate our show Give us 5 stars Jennifer: Okay! Welcome to the very first Ask Dan and Jennifer 1 minute Q&A. We’re thinking about calling it the quickie, I don’t know, you guys will have to let us know what you think about that. Dan: I just love that, but we’ll see. Jennifer: Okay! So, I recently pulled a couple of question off of our YouTube channel and both of them kind of have to do with the same thing. They were both around the idea that masturbation can cause weight gain, if it can cause–you know, if it’s the cause or girls to be stunted. You know, can masturbation cause things like blindness and all these things like these. So, can it? Dan: Wouldn’t like all the guys we know be blind minus that one guy. Jennifer: Oh wait, we forgot to turn the timer, 1 minute. Dan: Okay, no, seriously guys, in all seriousness–okay, in all seriousness, there are so many myths around masturbation causing so many different problems, weight gain, stunted growth, blindness, does it cause the scary thing in your closet or that’s a different scary tip scare? Jennifer: Will make your penis stop growing. Dan: Oh my god! Jennifer: Will it make it grow? Dan: Well, it makes it turn purple, any way, most of these— Jennifer: That’s possibly good enough but— Dan: But most of these are like the scary stories they used to tell their kids so they don’t go out at night, okay. These really go back to the time of masturbation considered a big taboo. It was a time of a lot less education and knowledge. Jennifer: More fear. Dan: I personally have never heard of masturbation causing any of these issues ever. And if it cause up like blindness, most people–most guys you know will be blind, okay. So these are scary stories usually going back to fundamentalist religious roots of one sort or another. Now, if you're worried about weight gains, stunted growth, whatever, you really should see a doctor. Jennifer: Yes, there are certain hormonal imbalances that can cause all of the things that we’re going showing up in this question. So, if you have any concerns, please make sure to go check with your doctor.
