Hi, everybody! I am Melanie Raposo and welcome to Mommy's Minute. All pregnant women will experience some type of discomfort during the pregnancy. The most common complaints you should expect are swelling, aches, bladder problems, indigestion, and breast tenderness. One way to alleviate sore breast is by getting a bra that fits properly and try to avoid wearing under wire bras. And unfortunately, some women also have to deal with constipation, frequent nose bleeding, and morning sickness that can last even all day and of course, there is the lack of sleep and snoring. Almost 25% to 30% of pregnant women will snore, even if they have never snored before they were pregnant. One way to help with that is to lie on your side when you sleep and to get an extra pillow to pop your head and if that is not enough, some women also get painful leg cramps. One way to relieve the cramps is by pointing your toes towards your heel and rubbing the area at the same time. It is a good idea to get your husband to also massage your feet, ankles, and lower legs before you go to bed to avoid getting cramps in the middle of the night. Now, unfortunately, the list of pregnancy discomforts goes on and on, but the great thing is having a partner there who is supportive to help you through it and ease those discomforts. That is the best remedy.
