Melanie Raposo: Hi! Everybody I'm Melanie Raposo and welcome to Mommy's Minute. The best time to get pregnant is when you ovulate or one to two days before. It's a good idea to familiarize yourself with your ovulation cycle to increase your chances of getting pregnant. The symptoms of ovulation include changes in cervical mucus and you'll experience a slight pain in your lower abdomen. Another way to detect ovulation is by using a basal body thermometer which indicates whether or not you're fertile. A rise in body temperature means you've ovulated. You can buy an ovulation predictor kit at your local grocery store to help show when you're most fertile and increase your chances of getting pregnant.
