Male Speaker: The fire works used in displays today are of various types, but all of them rely on chemical reactions. Most fire works are made by mixing gun powder, which is a fast burning explosive substance with compounds that color the flames or make distinctive noises. Strontium compounds for example, burn with a red flame and magnesium compounds create white flashes.
