You wouldn’t know by looking out her now that Dee loss a 100 lbs and its keep it off for 17 years. Dee McCaffrey: I start to gaining weight when I was nine and I keep putting it on all through my teenage years and by the time I was 18 I was obese. Rhiannon Ally: As her size grew they made drastic changes to her diet and loss the weight. Dee was inspired to go back to school and study nutrition so she can help others. She took us shopping to show us foods that can be killing our diet. First step, diet soda, Dee one of my favorite things to drink is diet after pepper I have one almost single day. Do you say this mean be good for my diet. Dee McCaffrey: No, there is something very not good about for you diet about diet sodas and that is the artificial sweeteners that are in them. And also they’re loaded with sodium, sodium leads to hypertension which is high blood pressure. Rhiannon Ally: And that’s not enough to curve that diet fix, fitness magazine says diet may have less calories than regular soda but it may not help you loss any weight. Dee McCaffrey: And they’re having some studies they’ve showing that people who do drink a lot of diet soda may actually gain weight impart because they think that the artificial sweeteners in soda could be leading you crave a real sugar. Dee McCaffrey: There is no sugar in it, absolutely none so you don’t have to worry about gaining weight. Rhiannon Ally: The next calorie is Trail Mix, nuts are a very healthy snack but some of the other ingredients are not. Dee McCaffrey: But you have to be careful because you have to look at what’s in that Trail Mix, a lot of times they added sugar, there is added oil. Rhiannon Ally: That’s to make the taste good.
