Learn about Breastfeeding and Reflux Male: If you have reflux and you’re breastfeeding, does reflux get worst with breastfeeding? Male: Well, breastfeeding is a way for dominant formula it’s very thin, it’s—like a pure liquid it doesn’t curdle and sit in the stomach as some other form of this do. So it is more likely to reflux but it also empties the fastest from the stomach— Male: That’s a plus and a minus— Male: Yes. Male: Of course, these things we don’t know what mother natures so it’s the formula choice. Male: I get a lot of parents that were breastfeeding kids that are refluxing. I work around I’ve been telling to continue to breastfeed and maybe add in spoon-feed a little bit of rice cereal just to thicken it but allowing them to continue to breast-feed.
