That's right milk and what's the sign for mummy? With the fingers up, mummy and how about daddy, that's right and what's the sign for cat, cat and how about dog, dog. When you are signing with your babies always, always, always, always talk, always say the word, because it's a way for your babies to communicate to you and not a way for you to communicate to them, you can talk, you have that ability, so it's not that you're trying to form a language between the two of you. It's your time to give them a tool to communicate their needs to you and later when they get older like Free(ph) says they are going to start to feel really interested in sign language, they are going to be start to be interested in the letters. Babies love movement, so when you're saying A, B, C, D versus A, B, C, D. They are going to be a lot more interested in seeing your hand move while they hear, you making the sound. I'll give you, a little sort of memory tips, when you draw the letter A, it's like a circle with a little tail on the end, so when you're doing the letter A think of that little circle with a little tail, even though it's up. So, letter D is like this, so it looks like the letter D. So putting your index finger up, D good. The letter G is like this, see the hand shape. So your thumb and your index finger G good and the letter H, is like this, so think of the two sticks of the H and then letter I, is your baby finger, now it looks like the letter I. We take language in on the left side of our brain and we take a sign language in as movement and an image on the right side of our brain. So if they are processing the word using both sides of their brain, so they're finding that and even neuroscientist has said, the earlier you can connect the neurons on both hemisphere the better it is for them. Whenever you're doing something, if you're changing their diaper, you can say, do you want to change your diaper? Asking them questions if you're having an off day and you forgot to sign to them that day that's totally fine to sort of pick it up when you think about it. So the more you do it, the more consistent you are, then the faster they'll pick up that hey that sign means something.
