Kim Taylor DiLeva: Hi! Kim Taylor DiLeva here and I am going to introduce you to a story I looked upon that I really love and it is called No, No, Yes, Yes and it will help you practice the signs No and Yes and this is by Leslie Patricelli. There are no other words in this book except for No and Yes. So it is great because the pictures tell you -- they show what they would be doing that they are not supposed to do like in this picture baby is dumping a bowl on her head and the words are No No. But then it shows baby eating nicely and then it is says, Yes Yes. Baby is coloring on the wall. No, No baby. Baby is coloring on the paper, Yes, Yes. So you can help practice No and Yes. No by the way is two fingers snapped down onto your thumb, remember in American Sign Language that facial expressions mean a lot. So if you are going to sign No you should look like you mean it. Eyebrows should be going down, No where the opposite is true for Yes Yes; look happy. Look happy because you are saying Yes; yes, you can have that, yes you can do that, yes, yes, yes. Alright, No and Yes are your signs for today that you can use at home. These are signs that are more important for you not so important for your child to be able to sign to you, but for them to recognize so that they know if they should be doing something or not be doing something based on what you are letting them know. It is either no or a yes. And this looks a great tool to help practice those as well. Baby is eating the dog food, No No. Baby is eating a banana, Yes Yes. So have fun with book, you can find it in your library. I am sure it is probably there or in a local library that you can find. No No Yes Yes by Leslie Patricelli and it is great book to help practice No and Yes. It is time with your baby. Remember I have a free secret that reveals -- a free video rather that reveals my number one secret to how you can drastically minimize your baby's crying and temper tantrums at babysignlanguageonline.com.
