Male Speaker: All matters composed of minute particles called Atoms. And atoms have electrons spending around the positive center called the Nucleus. Each electron contains a negative charge, which forms to basis of electricity. Atoms may acquire electrons from another atom, causing the atom to develop a negative charge, or the outer most electron of an atom can be removed by heat or the action of friction. Once the electron is separated, the Atom becomes positively charged and the accumulation of atoms within an electric charge is known static electricity. Electric chargers produced by friction maybe either negative or positive. Unlike electrical charges attract each other while like charges retail each other. You can see how static electric works with this rubber comb. Moving the comb through hair rubs electrons off the hair and on to the comb. The side of the comb that touch the hair has a build up of electrons making the comb negatively charged.
