What are the most common allergies that children experience? Dr. Barry Hainer: Probably the most common allergies that we encounter are the seasonal allergies that are pollen related and tend to occur in the spring and fall and are accompanied by sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes and sometimes in individual who are prone to develop a tightening of the muscles around the small airways is wheezing. And that will be individual who are prone to develop asthma which can be an allergic condition. But there are certainly other forms that allergy is takes such as skin reactions the most common being hides, they can be do to exposure to medications, exposure to food sources that a child maybe allergic too. And many times they occur particular they occur recurrently we— there is a high percentage that we don’t find the cause or even with the very careful allergy testing and the expertise of a sub specialist in allergy training.
