Melanie Raposo: Hi everybody! I'm Melanie Raposo and welcome to Mommy's Minute. For a lot of new dads, becoming a father can seem like an unfamiliar and challenging responsibility. But here are some tips on how to make the transition into fatherhood. First of all ask all hospital staff, practitioners, and anybody you know who had a baby before, how to do such things like feed, bathe and change diapers. Try to squeeze every little bit of information out of them as possible. Secondly, practice makes perfect. After all that's how your partner learn to be a mother, roll up your sleeves and don't be afraid to make mistakes. We have all done it and also men tend to do things a little bit differently than women do, when it comes to things like changing diapers and bathing. But still it's your little way and if it becomes a problem, talk to your partner about it but don't let your partner push you away from your baby. And lastly enjoy being a dad, have fun and don't be afraid to make mistakes and take this time to start bonding with your new little baby.
