Laser Treatment for Back Hair Part ½ Dr. Travis Stork: Tamara is here along with plastic surgeon Dr. Raffy Karamanoukian there, in our procedure room. Welcome to both of you. Thanks for being here. Dr. Raffy Karamanoukian: Thank you very much. Dr. Andrew P. Ordon: Hi there you two. So, Tamara how long is this hair on your back been a problem? Tamara: Pretty much all my life, like I said in Italian, it kind of runs in my family. Dr. Andrew P. Ordon: Well Dr. Karamanoukian, you do have a solution, don’t you? Dr. Raffy Karamanoukian: We do. We have a new laser called a Candela GentleMAX and we’re using that to zap the unwanted hair from Tamara's back. Dr. Andrew P. Ordon: And is she going to feel much doing this because I know in the old days, it hurt a little bit. Dr. Raffy Karamanoukian: You’re absolutely right Dr. Ordon. Before it used to hurt a lot more, now it has new cooling device that we have with the lasers. There’s a lot less pain, a lot less discomfort, and actually it’s a lot more efficient. Dr. Andrew P. Ordon: And you could do it on all skin types, you’re not as worried about changes in pigmentation? Dr. Raffy Karamanoukian: On all skin types, white, old skin, black skin, it’s safe for all skin types but obviously it should be supervised by a physician. Dr. James M. Sears: What about all parts of the body, I’m curious about that. Dr. Andrew P. Ordon: Jim has some areas, he wants some menscaping. He told me before the show. Dr. James M. Sears: No, it’s for a friend. Dr. Lisa Masterson: Do you have some -- do you have some backside hair? Dr. Raffy Karamanoukian: Well, you’d be surprised, people ask us for every inch of their body to have some hair removed. Dr. Andrew P. Ordon: I know Raffy. Well, I’ll fix you up after the show. Dr. Travis Stork: Well, why don’t you go in and get started. Dr. Raffy Karamanoukian: Okay. Dr. Travis Stork: Hang in there Tamara. We’ll check back later.
