You know what, my positive attitude improved the symptoms tenfold because I never saw cancer or never approached cancer with a victim mentality. I approached cancer with, “This is a blessing.” This is a blessing for me because it’s given me the opportunity to sit back and reflect on my life. It’s given me this time to really re-evaluate where I was going with my life. And so, I never once thought I was going to die, and although looking back I might have been a little naïve about that, but I think 100% that helped me more so than anything. Just keeping a positive attitude, knowing that the treatments were medically necessary and just giving yourself time to heal and never thinking about myself as a victim and seeing the cancer as an overall blessing allowed me to come through it with flying colors.
