Hey you! Have you had your dark leafy greens today? I hope so because guess what dark leafy greens are unequivocally, irrefutably the nutrient Goliath packing more nutrition per unit calorie than any other food. Think of them as Mother Nature’s multivitamin. In fact, even if you don’t know anything about nutrition if someone says, “What food has the most XYZ?” if you say dark leafy greens you almost always will sound like an expert because you almost always get the right answer. And I really want you to have perspective, you know, completely turbo-charged nutritional power. So let’s compare 100 calories of kale, which is the reigning champion dark leafy green to 100 calories of sirloin and man listen up. If you think that sirloin is sexier than dark leafy greens, guess what 100 calories of kale has 190 times more calcium, four times more iron, 12 times more magnesium, 15 times more folate, 800 times more Vitamin A, twice as much protein and 11,000 times more anti-oxidant power than 100 calories of sirloin. So be sure to eat your vegetables and make sure that you choose dark leafy greens each and everyday because you are the only person that can make you healthy, so take charge of your health. For icyou this is Dr. Ann.
