Jumping Jacks with Modifications Exercise Hi Michael Carson here with a very beginner exercise, jumping jacks. I mean who could forget jumping jacks. This is something we since we were little kids. That’s right. You’ve seen jumping jacks as we were in grade school. Well, jumping jacks is a great example of something you can do anywhere because you don’t need equipment. You just need enough space to spread your arms and legs out and bring it back together. But who's actually broken it down to know and see what you're doing. That’s why I'm here to do. All right, why don’t you bring your feet to get it? When your feet are together, just switch and lift upon your toes a couple of times. That puts the weight into the balls of your feet. That’s where I want the weight when you're doing jumping jacks. So let's start from there, a couple of lifts on the toes, excellent. Bring the hands next to your body. Now you're going to take those toes bring them out to the side and bring it right back together, lightly, one more time. Onto the side and back together and we’re going to add some arms to that, out and back. Out and back. Let's do two more, one and two, ready to bring up the tempo? Let's do it with tempo. One, two, three, let's go four more, four, three, two and one. Now that seems like it’s over too much energy for you. Let’s do the jumping jack on the ground. If you don’t want to jump, you can do a ground jack to get more ground. It’s like this. One, two, you can alternate legs or you can stay just in one side. Either way, you're going to be using a lot more core. I'm using more energy, but you're not going to be lifting off the ground. So the energy is different. I'm using more muscle and less momentum, less of that. Hear my voice; it still gives you great workout even though it’s a beginner exercise. No matter where you are, if you got a little private space to do it, jumping jacks will give you that energy you need just to move on for the rest of the day.
