Yes, there is a possible interaction between the Quinolone family—which Levofloxacin belongs to—and the non-steroidal group, which ibuprofen and Advil, Aleve, Aprosin, Celebrex belong to. The Levofloxacin can do a little bit of a number on your mind, increase the central nervous system, stimulating. Sometimes non-steroidal agents have this same effect. So if a person has a history of seizures, it’d be important to maybe even talk with a doctor about possibly using a different antibiotic because that CNS stimulation may be a problem. It might cause some additional stomach upset, but I’d be more worried about the central nervous system stimulation.
