Fiber cereal, fiber bars, fiber yogurt. What is this fiber thing anyway? So every year there is a food trend last year was eating all natural, this year is eating fiber. Apparently this year everybody wants to help you get your daily dose of fiber but what is this fiber thing anyway. Well it’s a couple of things. The first is one of the most important it helps to keep you regular, it keeps everything moving to your intestines and it also help to keep some blotting. The second thing is it’s been proven to help prevent heart disease cancer, it helps to regulate your glucose levels and it helps with the intestinal wall. And finally one of my favorites it helps to keep you full, this means that you have to eat less calories this is great for weight loss and weight maintenance. How much fibers should you really be getting. Well it’s very possible you could bid 38 grams of fiber everyday. So how you are going to get it, well maybe you will have an apple, 4 grams of fiber in the morning and maybe a little bit cereal or a bar with 5 grams. Now it maybe add of some black beans to your lunch that’s 11 grams. All these things will help to add up to give you that daily dose of fiber.
