How to Take Down Wood Paneling Female: Hey clean house babes, here’s a help book tip from go to guy Matt Heizman. Matt dear, can I see your muscles? Matt Heizman: These muscles? Female: How do you use this to take down wood panel like this? Matt Heizman: Well wood paneling is awesome if you want to have look like a van from the 70’s, if not taking it down depends on how the wood paneling was put up. So if it was done with nails, it’s a pretty easy takedown, you take a crowbar, start prying and get out. Now some of the nails won't come out so make sure you pry every individual nail out, take some spackling, even it up and you’re ready to paint over it. Now if the paneling was glued on, you can be more problematic, you have to use your muscles and you have to your brains. I like using a spackling might to pry it off. Once you have the remaining glue on, scrape it down, sand it to give it even finish and then you can paint and enter the modern world. Female: I like it, let’s go use your muscles for something else.
