Hi! I am Marilyn with Get It Together Organizing! I have a great kitchen tip for you today. I was organizing my cupboards and I came upon the brown sugar. It was so hard. I couldn't have hardly -- or I couldn't even break it. And I thought, I know the trick to getting it soft. If you have this problem, I am going to share with you my two favorite tips. One is, you take a piece of bread and it doesn't matter if it's white or whole wheat, it's what I happen to have on hand. You throw it in. Oops! You throw it in there. You put your lid on tight. Now just a little bit tight, and it still wouldn't be hard. Put your lid on tight, leave it for a day, come back to it, because you don't want that to mold. And your brown sugar will be soft. The other thing that you can do, is take a slice, it doesn't need to be very big, of apple. Put that in there, put your lid on, again you wait a day, come back, maybe a-day-and-a-half, and it will be soft. For more organizing tips, visit my website www.marilynbohn.com.
