Eating Low with Amy Low Hassles, Low Carb Recipes Episode 52: Beef in a Bag Hi this is Amy and welcome to Eating Low. Today we’re going to be making beef in a bag and it’s just my way of saying we’re going to marinate the beef inside of the Ziploc baggie and then we’ll cook it on the stove. You can also grill it. So I’ve got a fajita beef and I’ve just—it came precut and everything so I will stick it in my little bag. And I’ve got four cloves of garlic and wow! It smells garlicky. So we’re just going to dump that into the bag and then we’re going to do three tablespoons of soy sauce and you want to use the light one which is less sodium. I prefer that one. That was two and then almost three. I can top them all if I’ve got another bowl in there. Then we’re going to do a tablespoon of sesame oil. And then a tablespoon of rice wine vinegar. And you can use other vinegar if you don’t have that rice wine vinegar. I will dunk them in. You can also put green onions in. I’m sorry I didn’t have them for some reason. So I don’t know. I’m just making it difficult for what we have. So I will zip them up. I’m going to use one and squish it around and get all the marinate like mixed up into the beef. I almost forgot, and I’m going to add a packet of Slenda. I like the sweet and salty like soy sauce and Slenda together, it is really good. Kind of squish them around. It was like a Ziploc commercial. And we’re going to marinate him for probably about an hour. You can marinate it longer, you could do overnight if you want. But I kind of want to have some tonight so I probably just marinate him for like an hour. So I’m going to stick him into the fridge and then we’ll come right back. So now we’re ready to cook our beef and I’m going to take it out of the bag and put it in a skillet and I put a little sesame oil in there. I’m just going to dump my beef in. And now we can just cook in the skillet. It’s like what you would does or any other kind of meaty dish. So I’ve got him going and I’m going to let this cook and we’ll be right back. I don’t know if you can hear me over the sound of the meat cooking but I’ve just finished cooking it and I cook it until it looks like it was pretty done or like maybe well looked you know, kind of them. I’m not a big beef eater. And oh my God! It’s so good. I really like it because—to be with soy sauce and then vinegar, and the sesame oil. It’s just so so good and that was really easy and if you’re like me and you’re scared in like cook beef or you don’t cook beef a lot, this is a really easy recipe. It really can't miss it out. And then you’ve got all these meat that’s just something ready for you to eat. So anyway, thanks for eating low with Amy.
