Hi, I’m Erika with Organic Baby Resource. Today, we’re going to take about organic baby skin care. If you know that when your baby is born, her or his skin is five times as skin as yours, so you want to be extra conscious when you’re choosing products for your baby’s skin. I’m going to talk to you about the labels today as well as a list of ingredients since you want to look for and also talk about what to do before you apply the skin care. So first, let’s talk about the packaging. I like to look for this certified organic label. This is what it looks like in the US and this is what it looks like in Australia. The certified in body maybe different where you live so just get familiar with that organization and their silk of approval and look for it on your packaging. So you look at the label. Now, let’s get familiar with ingredients. What do you want to look for? Food base or common great ingredients that you see everyday like olive oil or coconut oil, these are great moisturizes for your baby’s skin. The point is you want to makes sure you understand what everything on ingredient is on the back. No strange chemicals like Parabens or Pilates but butter, organic sesame oil or organic soy bean oil. These are all good moisturizers for your baby’s skin. Once you’re comfortable with the list of ingredients, it’s time to put it on. Well, before you put it everywhere, spot test it. Make sure your baby is not having any allergic reactions, any break outs or itching is a bad sign. You may need to choose another product. I hope these tips help you pick out the best products for your baby’s skin. For more information about skin care or for product recommendations, visit organicbabyresource.com.
