Leila: Bring joy to people and be good to nature with Anico friendly bouquet and Anico friendly vast. Welcome to Watchmojo.com. I’m your host Leila learning more about equitable flowers with Laurence Roquillet. Can you please explain to us how buying filtrate organic flowers help enrich the earth. Laurence: They try to be good with the nature all around so with the ground and they try to use a bit less pesticide. Fair trade means that the people there are better paid that they care about their children, about the good health of the people. They try to give them a good condition of life. Leila: Are people paying more for organic flowers? Laurence: For that kind of flowers, the price is not expensive. But the only problem is that if I need to have more roses at the moment for a wedding, if I don’t know in advance that’s definitely more difficult to have them. That’s why you should maybe try to not only give red roses because maybe you could say, “No, I want fair trade roses” and that could be another color. Leila: You have here an environmentally friendly vase. Do you want to tell us a little bit about the glass? Laurence: That vase comes from “10 000 villages.” All the products that they sell are fair trade, so it’s a bit the same as the flowers. It means that people there are better paid and that the conditions are better for them. Also that is made with recycled glass. Leila: Thank you for your expertise. Laurence: You’re welcome. Leila: So next time, you’re thinking of getting someone a beautiful bouquet. As your Flores echo friendly flowers and try to cut back on cellophane whatever possible.
