Travis: While you do that I want to start working on the next lunch dish. so what are we going try to replicate on this is Carl’s Junior’s original 6 dollar burger which you see here. David: Right. Pia: It’s really good, yeah it’s great. David: And you’re going to have the cook this, not that ultimate burger and what’s really great is a lot of burgers are they use chuck and there’s a lot of fat in the beef, the buns are very calorie laiden and the sauces, all the condiments can really weigh it down. So in a case like that you end up with a 900 calorie burger. so we got. Travis: So what do we got here, we got some burger meat and we’re going to cook this on each side for couple of minutes so you want to help me put these on there. So this says cook the burger 2 to 3 minutes and then flat. David: They’re going to be, it’s a nice combination of sirloin and brisket, you should cook it medium or medium rare. You don’t want to cook it too long in case like this and then once you finished that up you’re going to let it sit for a few minutes so that all the juices can reabsorb into the burger. Travis: So we previously mix this up with a little bit of pepper, a little bit of salt not much and this is the pre-made patty that we made for the show. David: And what you’re doing instead of one for these special sauces that you should run away from, you’re going to use caramelized onions which are very flavorful, it’s really great and if you use potato bread you’re getting a lot more protein, a lot more fiber and fewer calories. Travis: So after a few minutes on the grill you turn to the other side and then magically. Pia: Oh my god. David: Magic of television. So you do something like this you’re going to, on your own you’re also going to save another 600 calories and gobs of fat. Travis: You want to try a bite? Pia: Oh my goodness, Okay, wow. I’m going to get full here. Travis: Okay, I’ll hold your try. Pia: Oh my god it looks delicious. Travis: That’s a upsize of a burger, okay we’ve got one of this for you. David: Here you go. Pia: Thank you. David: You’re very welcome. Travis: So it’s really good and it’s healthy. David: Yes and your controlling your own food supplies, you know what it is.
